These are a few outfit posts from my birthday a couple of months ago. My lovely boyfriend bought me tons of new clothes (lucky me) so obviously I had to take pictures of my outfits.
Top: Joy division t-shirt via ebay. Cardigan: Via ebay. Skirt: American Apparel
I bought this dress myself, I'm wearing it as a skirt here but I think I prefer it as a dress! The t-shirt was bought by Lewis, I wanted one for ages! And the cardigan was given to me by Lewis's brothers. I was so happy and it's now one of my favourites.
Top: Talking heads t-shirt via ebay. Shorts: Vintage Levi's. Trainers: Vans Sk8 highs.
I wore these shorts turned up for ages, but as soon as I cut them I couldn't believe I hadn't done it sooner. They look so much better. The trainers and Tee were both birthday presents from Lewis, lucky me :)
Jacket: Vintage Levi's. Dress: American Apparel. Shoes: Dr Martens. Scarf: (worn in hair) Urban Outfitters. Necklaces: Topshop and Urban Outfitters.
I love love loved this outfit so much. Here I am wearing the dress as a dress rather than a skirt and I just think it's so cute! It's very short but as long as you're wearing nice knickers who cares! I got the jacket for my birthday and I actually cried when Lewis gave it to me! I'd been looking on ebay for so long trying to find one but I couldn't find anything I liked in my size. It was such a lovely suprise when I saw it! The Dr Martens I'm wearing are canvas instead of leather, I think they were from the SS11 collection and they are so comfy. I originally saw them in a shop window in New York but stupidly didn't go in, and then forgot where I'd seen them. I then spent the rest of the week searching Manhattan for them - with no luck. In the end I bought them off the website the second I got home. I wore this outfit to my friend's birthday party, it's pretty casual but I think the accessories are just what it needed.
I'm now going to spend the rest of the evening drinking tea, painting my nails and relaxing before what will probably be a crazy busy day at work tomorrow.
