Outfit catch up!

Hellooo!

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! Mine was relaxing, it was nice to go home for a couple of days and not have to worry about anything. I've been back at work since and it's been pretty busy - so many people returning Christmas gifts.

Shorts: Vintage Levi's via ebay. Top: Topshop. Trainers: Nike Blazer. Necklace: Urban Outfitters. Watch: Swatch. Belt: Primark.

Here is a quick snap of what I wore on Xmas eve. Just a casual outfit as I was working all day then I had to jump straight on a train before heading back down south! I took this as I was last minute packing at 7.30 in the morning - hence me looking a little tired - ha!
This top is an old Topshop one, I've had it for quite a while but love it so much! It's pretty long so can be worn over leggings, or tucked into stuff - very plain and easy to wear! The shorts are another Levis pair I have. I love denim so much, I wear it everyday! I tried these shorts folded as well, but they always look so much better cut off.

Jeans: asos. Jumper: Urban Outfitters. T-shirt: Topshop. Necklace: Urban Outfitters. Rings: Swatch, some stall in Aflex Palace - Manchester. Bracelets: Everywhere. Nails: 17 - Peacock.

This is what I wore today. I bought these jeans from asos the other week. There's nothing I hate more than buying new jeans but I really needed a black pair in my life. I'm only 5"3 so trying to find skinny jeans that are actually SKINNY and that fit my legs is a traumatic and stressful experience to say the least. Buying from ASOS was a risk as I couldn't even try them on first, but they were cheaper than other places I had looked and were petite so I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. I am really happy with them and have worn them loads since. They are a stretchy, thin material - so not really proper denim I don't think - but they are so comfy and fit well and black jeans go with everything. I haven't really taken a very good picture of them but I will no doubt be wearing them with another outfit soon.

The t-shirt I have on is one of my beloved Topshop pocket tees. When they came out I bought one in 4 different colours because they go with everything and are so easy to wear.

I got the jumper in an Urban Outfitters sale a while ago because I loved the colour. It's not the warmest of jumpers because of the holes all over it but at least it looks nice, haha. I bought my friend a similar one in dark blue for her birthday and really wanted to keep it for myself - I guess that's a sign of a good present?!

I got this nail varnish for Christmas along with lots of other colours. 17 isn't a brand I would normally buy, I don't know why, but I love the colour! I got quite a few so I guess you'll be seeing them all tested out soon. It only needed one or two coats to go opaque and has actually lasted well. I work in Swatch so I'm fixing watches everyday and my nails always chip. This one hasn't yet though which is a very good sign!

I still need to post a picture of what I actually wore on Christmas day. I'll probably do it tomorrow I don't want to overload this post with too many different outfits! I'm currently stressing over what I'm going to wear on new years eve, I'm probably going to go now and try on the possibilities! I love new years eve so I'm very excited, what's everyone got planned?

Not such a crazy day after all...

I went into work today preparing for the worst. In the end it really wasn't too busy - busy enough to make the day go quickly, but not so busy that I wanted to pull my hair out.

Anyway here is what I wore...

Jumper: Urban Outfitters. Shorts: Vintage Levi's. Trainers: Nike. Jewellery: Urban Outfitters.

I found this jumper (well, Lewis found this jumper...) in the renewal section of Urban Outfitters, I love it! It's so warm and snuggly. They have such a large selection of vintage-y jumpers in the Manchester store, I much prefer the renewal ones because they only have one of each style - you won't see everyone walking around in the same one!

Tomorrow I am working again, but luckily I finish early as it's Christmas eve. Then I've got a mad dash to the train station to hop on a train home back to Milton Keynes for a couple of days. I haven't been back home in so long and I'm really looking forward to it - home always feels so warm, especially at Christmas time. I'm so excited for my Christmas dinner it's unreal!
I'm not sure if I'll post at all because I can't really be bothered taking my laptop, I'll take my camera though and snap my outfits - that's if I can actually find an outfit for Christmas day!

I'm off now to pack, eat and watch crap TV. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! :)

Finally!

So, after however long of reading blogs, I have finally decided to start my own! Hurrah! I decided to name it after two of my favourite things, obviously.

These are a few outfit posts from my birthday a couple of months ago. My lovely boyfriend bought me tons of new clothes (lucky me) so obviously I had to take pictures of my outfits.

Top: Joy division t-shirt via ebay. Cardigan: Via ebay. Skirt: American Apparel

I bought this dress myself, I'm wearing it as a skirt here but I think I prefer it as a dress! The t-shirt was bought by Lewis, I wanted one for ages! And the cardigan was given to me by Lewis's brothers. I was so happy and it's now one of my favourites.

Top: Talking heads t-shirt via ebay. Shorts: Vintage Levi's. Trainers: Vans Sk8 highs.

I wore these shorts turned up for ages, but as soon as I cut them I couldn't believe I hadn't done it sooner. They look so much better. The trainers and Tee were both birthday presents from Lewis, lucky me :)

Jacket: Vintage Levi's. Dress: American Apparel. Shoes: Dr Martens. Scarf: (worn in hair) Urban Outfitters. Necklaces: Topshop and Urban Outfitters.

I love love loved this outfit so much. Here I am wearing the dress as a dress rather than a skirt and I just think it's so cute! It's very short but as long as you're wearing nice knickers who cares! I got the jacket for my birthday and I actually cried when Lewis gave it to me! I'd been looking on ebay for so long trying to find one but I couldn't find anything I liked in my size. It was such a lovely suprise when I saw it! The Dr Martens I'm wearing are canvas instead of leather, I think they were from the SS11 collection and they are so comfy. I originally saw them in a shop window in New York but stupidly didn't go in, and then forgot where I'd seen them. I then spent the rest of the week searching Manhattan for them - with no luck. In the end I bought them off the website the second I got home. I wore this outfit to my friend's birthday party, it's pretty casual but I think the accessories are just what it needed.

I'm now going to spend the rest of the evening drinking tea, painting my nails and relaxing before what will probably be a crazy busy day at work tomorrow.
