Black boots

T-shirt: Ebay. Cardigan: Urban Renewal @ Urban Outfitters. Boots: Urban Outfitters. Necklaces: Topshop and Urban Outfitters.

So I bought these boots today and I'm absolutely obsessed with them already. My shoe collection is literally expanding by the day and so many of them are black! I really don't think you can go wrong with black though as it literally goes with everything. I really like these because I can dress them up or down and I'm not a heels girl at all so wanted something I can wear for smarter occasions. I love flatform soles! I already have my creepers which I love, and a more casual pair of suede boots with a gum sole, so these are the perfect addition to the collection. Might I also add that they were an absolute bargain. Originally £95 (I refused to pay that much!!), but reduced to £60 in the sale. Still a bit pricey but I'd already started planning outfits to wear them with so I really had to buy them, however once I got to the till and the assistant scanned them, they came up as £40!
I got this T-shirt fairly recently as well, I saw it on Nicola's Deciphering Dreams blog and thought she looked really cool in it! and at only £12ish, it's a bargain. It's really big on me but I'm a massive fan of oversized tops. My style is pretty much baggy on top and tight on the bottom!

Two of my boyfriend's friends got married today, so we're off to their reception/dinner tonight. I'm looking forward to it but really can't decide what to wear! I actually need to go and jump in the shower and get myself ready cos knowing me I'll be faffing around for ages!

Second hand news...

Sooo, it's been a while! I don't know exactly what happened with the blogging, but I guess I was feeling really un-inspired for a while. I completely went off all of my clothes, and didn't really know what to post about and started to think too much into the fact no one was reading! BUT, a lot has happened in the past couple of months, I've been to New York, got engaged (!!!), and I've just got much more into fashion again. I've been reading a lot of other blogs and getting more inspiration, and I guess just realising more what I do and don't like. I also realised it doesn't matter if no one else ever even reads my blog; it's just an outlet for me to post pictures and talk crap!

Jumper: Urban Outfitters. Leggings: American Apparel. Creepers: Underground. Hair scrunchie: American Apparel. Necklace: Topshop

Just a simple one today! It was my birthday the other day and I bought this jumper with some of the money I got. I got it in a medium as I wanted it to be baggy and long enough to wear over leggings. My jumper collection is forever expanding but a lot of them are shorter than this one, and it seems to be my cardigans that are more oversized.
My friend got me this necklace for my birthday as well and its a mood necklace. It keeps changing color, but stupidly I threw away the tag so I have no idea what they all mean! It came on a shorter chain, but I already have a few shorter necklaces so wanted a longer one so I could wear them all together.

I've just been working and going out a lot recently, I have a new manager so it's actually been really nice and I'm really enjoying it again. I've been going out a lot more and being far more sociable since I've been back from New York (we were there for two weeks so it took a while to get out of the holiday mode) so it's been nice to go out and keep busy and see friends! One of my friends is off travelling South America for 6 months tomorrow and I'm extremely envious!

I noticed that Urban Outfitters have a mid season sale on so I guess I'll be popping in there tomorrow...

My Favorite Colors

I heard about this idea a while ago but didn't really think too much about it, then I saw it on Lauren Conrad's blog, the beauty department, and then read a post about it on Gem Fatale's blog and decided I needed to give it a try! I immediately bought some chalks off ebay for around 4 quid. When I got home from work today I realised the postman had been and instantly had to give it a go! (excuse my matted mess of hair...)

The pink showed up the best and I really think it would look sweet on blonde hair! Mine's been highlighted but it's more blondy/ginge/red because it had been dyed red aaaages ago (biggest regret ever!).
It's not really an everyday thing because it stained my fingers and will probably rub off on clothes too, but I think it looks wicked and will be perfect for a night out!

I know I'm not blogging much anymore but it's actually super hard to find time to do it, and I haven't really had much to talk about! I'm getting bored of all my clothes and I have to wear dark jeans to work everyday now so I haven't exactly been venturing too much. I have bought some bits recently though so I will try and get on it this weekend!

Catch up!

So I realise it's been about 10 years since I last posted... Well, not quite but it feels like it! I've actually had a really busy few weeks which makes a change seeing as I'm usually moaning about not going out enough. I went home to see my two best friends, one is getting married which is crazy so we've been making plans for that! I've had friends come up and visit me in Manchester, been to a few gigs, nights out and just generally drinking too much, spending too much money and having a good time. I get paid in two days which seriously cannot come fast enough. I booked a flight to New York, plus all this partying has not left my bank balance very happy!

I wanna start regular outfit posting again, I've just been disliking all my clothes recently but I'm getting my inspiration back which is a good thing so hopefully I'll feel better about my wardrobe soon :) What's everyone been up to?

I'm really getting into the Sopranos recently so I'm going to watch that, and then catch up on last night's Made in Chelsea!

Domino

My second post of the day (greedy) and not exactly a credible one either, but this song has been in my head all day. It's so catchy I can't get enough of it!

Blonde Redhead

Today I got my hair done, it didn't turn out exactly like I had in mind but I kinda like it! I was aiming for an ombre-ish look but I think the color starts a little bit too high, although in these pictures it looks like it blends in nicely with the rest of my hair. I'm still getting used to it as it's very different and a lot lighter, but once it fades slightly and grows out a tiny bit I think I will like it a lot! It makes a nice change anyway!

Hope everyone is alright, got any plans for the weekend? I'm bloody working tomorrow but I think I might be going out for dinner with my boyfriend in the evening!

I'm waiting for the day

Crop top: Urban Outfitters. Skirt: American Apparel. Boots: Urban Outfitters. Shorts: Levi's via ebay. Sandals: Topshop. Necklace: Urban Outfitters. Watch: Casio

The sun was shining today so the outfit is a pretty summery one. I bought this crop top yesterday was I was in town. I love the skirt and top combo so much, I think I'll wear it on my next night out but team with with tights and a denim jacket - it might be sunny but it's still March! I doubt the second outfit will ever make it's debut out in public in England, but I think it will be so cute when I go on holiday in the summer.

I've had a pretty quiet weekend which has been good as it means I haven't spent as much money as I would have if I'd been out drinking! I'm getting my hair done next Friday so I need to make sure I've got my money for that. I viewed a flat with my boyfriend yesterday which was pretty awful to say the least. The pictures of it looked lovely but then in real life it was pretty much the size of a shoe box. My clothes and shoe collections are expanding by the day so somewhere with lots of storage space is a must!! Oh well, the search continues.

I'm having a pretty chilled day today, blogging, reading and watching the Hills - it never gets boring no matter how much I watch it. I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend.

No Imagination

Eyes: No7 Smoky eye liner @ boots.

I got a £5 No7 voucher in boots the other day so decided to spend it on the smoky eye liner. I didn't know what to get at first as I'm not exactly short of make up, but I've never known how to do a smoky eye so I thought I would try this. I have to say, I'm so impressed with this product! I'm not exactly knowledgeable when it comes to make up, but I love how easy this is to use. Its got an almost powdery texture to it so it's very easy to smudge, which means you haven't got to worry too much about being neat. Sometimes, applying normal liquid eye liner can drive me up the wall - especially if I'm trying to get ready to go out and it goes wrong! I probably would have got a better, darker effect if I'd used a darker eye shadow but this was my first attempt at using the product.
I would highly recommend this, it's simple, quick and easy!

Today I've been checking out a blog called Big Eyes, Little Soles. I was in Tesco on my lunch break today and a girl who gets on my train in the mornings recognised me and asked me if she could take a picture of my trainers. She then gave me her card and explained that she writes for a trainer blog. As I am a big fan of trainers (hence my blog's name!) I checked out the blog as soon as I could, and I really like it. It has several bloggers - all girls - who mainly blog about trainers but there's also stuff about music, streetwear, events etc as well. I instantly liked this blog and got a really cool vibe from it! It was also refreshing to look at something completely different as all of the blogs I usually read are fashion/beauty based.

What has everyone been up to today? I've had a quiet day and work. I'm very much looking forward to getting paid on Friday and going out dancing!

About a Girl

Jumper: Urban Outfitters. Leggings: American Apparel. Shoes: Urban Outfitters. Necklace: Urban Outfitters. Rings: Jewellery stall, River Island. Watch: Casio.

I only got these leggings today and I love them so much already! Already planning what to wear them with tomorrow night when I go out... Seen loads of girls wearing shiny/leather look leggings/trousers at the moment. I  really really like the American Apparel Disco Pant but at £70 they are way out of my price range! They look so good one some people but I don't know how able I would be to pull them off. Leggings are more suitable to my style - pair with some high tops and an over-sized tee or vest and that's me! They fit so well, I was also worried they would be too long because I'm not the most gifted person in the leg height department but they are perfect. The colour is subtle enough for everyday wear and the style is great for jazzing up a simple outfit. I might be slightly braver next time and get a red pair...

Love this jumper as well, it's light, comfortable and will be perfect when the weather gets warmer. (I'm so excited for the summer already!)
Bought the nail varnish yesterday on my lunch break from work after seeing a customer wearing a similar colour, it's so cute I can't get enough! It's a 17 one (bought it as it was cheap but I'm actually really pleased with it) but I can't remember the name!

Hope everyone is well! It's been ages in between blogging again - I'm so busy at work and hanging out but I'm really trying to make time to do it. I'm going out tomorrow night and really looking forward to it, just got to get work  out the way first!

p.s came home the other day to find this goody box arrived in the post from my boyfriend's mum...

It made me so happy - was running of some stuff and was in desperate need of new make up brushes so it was perfect timing! (2nd) best mum ever!

Modern love

T-shirt: eBay. Cardigan: Urban Outfitters. Jeans: asos. Rings: asos and Urban Outfitters.       Necklaces: Urban Outfitters. Watch: Casio.

This is what I wore to work today. Pretty casual but sometimes I like these outfits the best. I'm going through a horrible phase at the moment where I don't like any of my clothes or don't know what to wear/how to wear them. Hopefully I'll snap out of it soon though!

This watch was a valentines present from my boyfriend. I was soooo happy he bought it for me! I have a smaller gold casio watch which I really loved but I've got used to wearing a huge watch to work everyday so wanted something a bit bigger!

It's my brother's 18th tomorrow which is scary and makes me feel very old. I went back home on thursday for a 'family' gathering so I think tomorrow night he's going out with some work friends and then having a crazy night out the weekend after. He lives in London now which sometimes makes me very jealous!

I ain't telling you a secret, I ain't telling you goodbye

It took me so long to work out how to embed a video, ha! Anyway, random post but this song has been in my head all day and I just wanted to share it :) Hope everyone has had a good day, I've just been at work all day which hasn't been too bad!

Is anyone celebrating valentine's day tomorrow? It was so funny seeing all the men crowding round the flower section in Tesco today. What's everyone got planned? I'm working all day tomorrow but it's a good excuse to come home and order a takeaway with my boy!

My love is your love

I realise I've been neglecting my blog for quite a while now! I got off to a good start but when full time work/social life/illness gets in the way it's easy to think "I can't be bothered tonight, I'll do it tomorrow" and before you know it, tomorrow is weeks later! Anyway, I've bought myself so much new stuff recently I'm going to try and get back into it properly again so I can blog all my new stuff.

I bought these shoes a few days ago and have worn them everyday since. I went into Urban Outfitters one day after work to pass the time and fell in love. With an £85 price tag I instantly wished I hadn't seen them, but after getting paid a few days later I really couldn't help myself! I love the chunky creeper-esq sole but they are different and the fact they are boots really appealed to me. I also bought the necklace, usually I go for long necklaces but I thought this one was very cute. I go through fads of preferring gold or silver jewellery and decided I needed a new gold necklace.

I've been pretty busy over the past few weeks, going out and working. I went to Nottingham last weekend for my friends birthday which was fun and was a nice change going out somewhere other than Manchester. Yesterday I had an 'extreme Saturday' which was so much fun! My friend Hanna got some amazing retro roller skates for her birthday and my other friend Polly bought a pair herself. I decided I wanted to get back into skateboarding (I used to do it when I was younger) so went out with Lewis and Hanna's boyfriend, Andi while the girls were skating. We went to a skate park and it was so funny, like we were 15 again!

Sad news about Whitney Houston. It's a shame when someone famous dies that it always seems to cause such a fuss on twitter/facebook. I had someone moaning on facebook that everyone was posting statuses when "I bet none of you own an album". In my opinion, just because you might not be a huge fan/own an album/listen to them on your ipod, doesn't mean you can't pay your respects and appreciate how talented someone is. Let's face it, when one of her songs comes on at a party its impossible not to get up and dance or sing along! RIP.

Put a ring on it

Ring: Topshop. Nails: 17 - Risky Red.

I've wanted a new gold ring for a while so I popped into Topshop on my lunch break today and got this one. Its nice and shiny and pretty simple but its also got a hint of bronzey colour to it. I guess this helps when the ring starts to turn bronze as they usually do - at least it wont look so bad! It was only a fiver which is pretty good if you ask me and I had some christmas vouchers to spend anyway.

I just purchased myself a pair of black levi vintage denim shorts - you know how I love denim shorts!! I needed a black pair though as they will go better than blue with some tops I have. I'll blog them when they arrive!

Girl at the rock show

Skirt: H&M. Shirt: American Apparel. Necklace: Topshop. Rings: Stall, River Island.

Sorry the pictures aren't that great. I went out on Friday night and took these just before I left, hence them being a bit rushed! I got this top in American Apparel on friday, I really love the colour but was a bit unsure of what to wear it with? I just decided to team it with a plain back skirt and gold accessories and it seemed to look ok!

I went to a rock night on Friday with a group of friends and it was so much fun. We spent the night dancing to old pop punk tunes - it made me feel 14 again! I was absolutely in my element, ha.
I'm seeing Blink 182 in June and it got me so excited for that!! My boyfriend bought me the ticket the Christmas before the one just gone(!) and the tour was supposed to be last summer, but they postponed it for a year due to their album not being finished, so by the time I see them I'll have been waiting a year and a half!! Luckily I love the new album so it will totally be worth the wait.

What did everyone get up to this weekend? I hope you all had fun whatever you did!

Ramble On

Shoes: Primark. Jeans: asos

I bought these shoes today from Primark. They were only £12 and I got paid today so I thought I may as well treat myself. They are loafer/moccasins and they are so cute! They are quite flimsy so probably wont last that long but I doubt I will wear them loads anyway! I'm already planning my summer wardrobe, once Christmas is out the way I spend the next 6 months waiting for the sun to come out. These will be nice in the summer with dresses or skirts or leggings or even skinny jeans and a nice top! ha!

I'm going swimming tomorrow after work with some of my friends, I haven't swam since I was on holiday in the summer! I need to make sure I remember to shave my legs tonight...
I hope everyone has a nice evening. I'm going to catch up on Eastenders!

Unknown Pleasures

Shorts: Vintage Levi's via ebay. T-shirt: ebay. Scarf (in hair): Urban Outfitters. Necklace: Urban Outfitters. Rings: Stall, River Island. Earrings: Urban Outfitters. Watch: Casio.

Black t-shirts and cut off shorts are one of my favourite outfit combinations. So simple yet so cool! I love this top, I got it for my birthday, I'd wanted it for ages because of the classic design.

I got the scarf in the Urban Outfitters sale a few months ago and always wear it in my hair tied around my topknot. I love how leopard print looks so tacky yet so cool at the same time, it's probably my favourite pattern. It goes so well with black and in my opinion, a hint of it gives any outfit a bit of jazz! I can't get enough.

I've been bumming my River Island ring ever since I bought it. I have really small hands but big rings are my fave. The colour is very classic and vintage-esq and although I haven't worn it yet with a dressy outfit, I think it will look really nice.

My laptop is fixed which is a huge relief as I definitely do not have the money to buy a new one!! I'm currently chilling in bed catching up on TV and I'm going to try and get an early night - I've got a long day at work tomorrow. I don't know how successful the early night thing will be though as I keep finding programs to watch. I'm just about to watch the new series of Mob Wives. Anyone else seen it? I love those fiesty bitches!
I also think Desperate Scousewives is on tonight? It's embarrassing how addicted to 'reality' TV I am...
