Put a ring on it

Ring: Topshop. Nails: 17 - Risky Red.

I've wanted a new gold ring for a while so I popped into Topshop on my lunch break today and got this one. Its nice and shiny and pretty simple but its also got a hint of bronzey colour to it. I guess this helps when the ring starts to turn bronze as they usually do - at least it wont look so bad! It was only a fiver which is pretty good if you ask me and I had some christmas vouchers to spend anyway.

I just purchased myself a pair of black levi vintage denim shorts - you know how I love denim shorts!! I needed a black pair though as they will go better than blue with some tops I have. I'll blog them when they arrive!

Girl at the rock show

Skirt: H&M. Shirt: American Apparel. Necklace: Topshop. Rings: Stall, River Island.

Sorry the pictures aren't that great. I went out on Friday night and took these just before I left, hence them being a bit rushed! I got this top in American Apparel on friday, I really love the colour but was a bit unsure of what to wear it with? I just decided to team it with a plain back skirt and gold accessories and it seemed to look ok!

I went to a rock night on Friday with a group of friends and it was so much fun. We spent the night dancing to old pop punk tunes - it made me feel 14 again! I was absolutely in my element, ha.
I'm seeing Blink 182 in June and it got me so excited for that!! My boyfriend bought me the ticket the Christmas before the one just gone(!) and the tour was supposed to be last summer, but they postponed it for a year due to their album not being finished, so by the time I see them I'll have been waiting a year and a half!! Luckily I love the new album so it will totally be worth the wait.

What did everyone get up to this weekend? I hope you all had fun whatever you did!

Ramble On

Shoes: Primark. Jeans: asos

I bought these shoes today from Primark. They were only £12 and I got paid today so I thought I may as well treat myself. They are loafer/moccasins and they are so cute! They are quite flimsy so probably wont last that long but I doubt I will wear them loads anyway! I'm already planning my summer wardrobe, once Christmas is out the way I spend the next 6 months waiting for the sun to come out. These will be nice in the summer with dresses or skirts or leggings or even skinny jeans and a nice top! ha!

I'm going swimming tomorrow after work with some of my friends, I haven't swam since I was on holiday in the summer! I need to make sure I remember to shave my legs tonight...
I hope everyone has a nice evening. I'm going to catch up on Eastenders!

Unknown Pleasures

Shorts: Vintage Levi's via ebay. T-shirt: ebay. Scarf (in hair): Urban Outfitters. Necklace: Urban Outfitters. Rings: Stall, River Island. Earrings: Urban Outfitters. Watch: Casio.

Black t-shirts and cut off shorts are one of my favourite outfit combinations. So simple yet so cool! I love this top, I got it for my birthday, I'd wanted it for ages because of the classic design.

I got the scarf in the Urban Outfitters sale a few months ago and always wear it in my hair tied around my topknot. I love how leopard print looks so tacky yet so cool at the same time, it's probably my favourite pattern. It goes so well with black and in my opinion, a hint of it gives any outfit a bit of jazz! I can't get enough.

I've been bumming my River Island ring ever since I bought it. I have really small hands but big rings are my fave. The colour is very classic and vintage-esq and although I haven't worn it yet with a dressy outfit, I think it will look really nice.

My laptop is fixed which is a huge relief as I definitely do not have the money to buy a new one!! I'm currently chilling in bed catching up on TV and I'm going to try and get an early night - I've got a long day at work tomorrow. I don't know how successful the early night thing will be though as I keep finding programs to watch. I'm just about to watch the new series of Mob Wives. Anyone else seen it? I love those fiesty bitches!
I also think Desperate Scousewives is on tonight? It's embarrassing how addicted to 'reality' TV I am...

Oh you pretty things

Dress: American Apparel. Shirt: Gap, via vintage shop. Leggings: H&M. Trainers: Vans.
Neclace: Urban Outfitters. Earrings: American Apparel. Watch: Casio.

Today I had a much needed day off. It was so nice not to hear the sound of my alarm at 7am! I caught up on some TV, did some food shopping and just relaxed. My day was slightly ruined however, by my laptop deciding to break. It has like frozen while logging off and is just stuck, it wont turn off or anything. Couldn't have happened at a worse time as I am currently saving to pay off my overdraft and go to New York. I don't get paid enough so save for a laptop as well!

I wore my American Apparel dress again today. I love it so much! It's so simple and goes with anything and is easy to dress up or down. I've paired it with tights in the past which makes it look a bit dressier, however as today was a chill day I just wore my leggings with it instead.

I really love H&M leggings, I'm pretty sure they're only about five or six pound as well so I own a few pairs. I have a cheap pair from Tesco and even a pair from Topshop but they always go baggy around the knees and look horrible. There's nothing I dislike more than baggy leggings (maybe a slight exaggeration...) which is why I love these ones so much. They stay nice and tight no matter how much I bend my knees!

My hair looks an absolute mess as I haven't done anything to it since I washed it. I wanted to take a picture of my face though because I like the blusher I am wearing. Usually I'm more of a bronzer girl but I love this blush (Chanel, 82 Reflex). It has a glittery shimmer to it which I think looks really cute and I even like the smell of it (!).

I have work bright and early again tomorrow, there's only two of us in as my manager is on holiday so let's hope it's not too busy! I hope everyone has a lovely evening.

This is home

Leggings: Urban Outfitters. Shirt: Vintage Ralph Lauren. Earrings: American Apparel. Watch: Swatch. Rings: Stall, River Island. Nails: 17 - Risky Red.

This is almost what I wore today. While I was at work I wore the shirt with tights and a black skirt instead but I changed into the leggings as soon as I got home. I love these leggings so much but I find the material really weird. It's not lycra-y like normal leggings so it isn't very stretchy and I find they don't cling very well so they tend to fall down a bit. I wore them to work once but spent the whole day tugging at them and pulling them up - never again. I tend to only wear them around the house or at weekends now when I'm not on my feet all day!

My boyfriend bought me this shirt for Christmas. I wanted one for ages but for some reason couldn't find one I liked. I think he managed to track this down on ebay though and I really like it - he has good taste ;) The colour is just right so that it goes with darker clothes and lighter clothes.

As mentioned before I got a few 17 nail varnishes for Christmas. I've been using them all recently as they were mostly colours I didn't have in my nail varnish collection before so I've wanted to check them all out! Usually I wear Rimmel, Barry M or Models Own nail varnish so 17 isn't a brand I usually go for but I do really like all the colours I received. Red nails are my favourite so I'm extremely glad I got this colour, my previous red had gone all gloopy so I really needed a replacement. This colour red is really nice and bold and the nail varnish itself only needed one coat to go opaque which was easy! I put two coats on just to make it nice though and always use seche vite top coat - it dries it out perfectly and leaves the nails looking nice and shiny.

Excuse my face/hair in these pictures. I've been at work all day and my skin looks awful. My hair has also got extremely long recently so it was annoying me a lot today! I tied it in a topknot as soon as these pics were taken haha. I really want a change of colour but can't decide what to dye it. I've been thinking of going lighter for ages but I'm just far too indecisive...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Bit late, but happy new year everyone! I've been working/recovering since new years eve so haven't really had chance to sit down and blog. How was everyone's night? I had an amazing night dancing and hanging out with my friends. I have a couple of friends up here in Manchester who are promoters and put on loads of gigs. For new years they teamed up with some other promoters and there was a big night going on with bands and DJs. Loads of our friends from Milton Keynes managed to come up so it was amazing to see all my friends together for one big night. It was so much fun! I managed to lose my boyfriend at midnight - he was outside smoking! so luckily one of my friends was on hand to be my new years kiss.

This is what I wore:

Shorts: Vintage Levi's via ebay. Body: Ebay.

I reeeaalllly wanted the Gloria-V bodysuit from American Apparel for ages but unfortunately did not have a spare £40, so when I saw this look-a-like on ebay for only £9.99 I just had to get it!! The material isn't great and the quality clearly isn't that good, but I doubt it's something I will wear very often and for a quarter of the price I can't really complain. I decided to team it with my trusty denim shorts :)

Shorts: Vintage Levi's via ebay. Top: American Apparel.

This is what I wore to work today! A very simple outfit. I bought this top in the summer and wore it loads, I haven't really worn it much over the winter but this morning I decided it was time to give it some attention again. It's very baggy and ill-fitting but that's what I like about it!

Shorts: Vintage Levi's. Jumper: Topshop. Rings: Jewellery stall and River Island.

I got some vouchers for Christmas so on my lunch break today I treated myself to a couple of bits. I avoided topshop just after Christmas because I can't stand it in the sales, it's just so so busy and I don't have the patience for it. I had a browse on the website though and stumbled across this jumper. Lately, I haven't been too impressed with Topshop and have gone off it a lot recently, however as soon as I saw this I knew I had to have it so I nipped in today and got it. I love it so much already. Its very loud but I like that. I'm a size 8 but got this jumper in a 10. I like jumpers to be a bit oversized but obviously this one isn't designed to be oversized so I got it just a size bigger, so it doesn't look like I clearly just got the wrong size top! It fits perfectly, not big on me at all, just nicely loose.

The ring I bought today is from River Island. I basically never shop in there, don't know why really, I guess there's only like 3 places I really love to shop so don't really go anywhere else! Maybe a should start to broaden my horizons?? Anyway, I got a voucher and as I didn't really like the look of any of the clothes in there I had a look at the jewellery instead. I love rings and instantly liked this one, I think its because I liked in with my black nail varnish as well, ha!

I really need to get into the habit of blogging everyday, this mass outfit post blogging is probably going to get annoying as I'm always behind - I still need to post a picture of what I wore on Christmas day! I'll probably just wear the outfit again soon and post it that way. I'll soon get better at this - promise!
